Wanderer only uses his residence for storage and cooking meals in a proper kitchen whenever he feels the need to, so he isn't actually there very often. It could take from a few days to weeks for him to see any mail he receives. He'll only give out his address to people he trusts.

There's something I need to show you.

You haven't had anything to eat recently, have you?

The taste tests I did for Helios's gross sweet food recipes are the only things I've eaten during my entire stay here. If you're planning on cooking something for me, it better not be one of those.

Sounds like you've been about as successful as me with getting him to try healthier things. I'm so used to Paimon eating almost anything.

You'll just have to see. The thought of dango milk might have crossed my mind earlier.

[ honestly, as he gets settled, it's not surprising that Diluc would keep his eye out for the former "fatui" he met on his first day in Folkmore. Though Kaeya had assured him he was harmless, that didn't mean that Diluc couldn't investigate on his own.

And so, he's coincidentally near where Kaeya teaches classes.

[The school in question is far from an ordinary school. Baba Yaga is not just a school but a sentient being, wandering endlessly throughout Exile in search of lost souls and new students. So when Diluc gets close enough to the school, it squats down and remains in place, allowing him to enter the building. Awaiting him inside is a separate dimension containing a massive and gorgeous campus, the complete opposite of what you'd expect to find inside a rackety old sentient building in a foggy forest.

It isn't very often that Wanderer actually comes to school, however today is the day that Diluc will get lucky on the Wanderer banner. While his class has already ended some time ago, he is still on campus in the school's library, searching for books to help him with his next assignment as well as further his own personal research.

Should Diluc choose to roam the campus, he can find Wanderer scouring the bookshelves in the library for books on Familiar magic or sitting at a table with his current batch of books, reading and taking notes. Or perhaps he's reading an unrelated book he picked up along the way; the library has such a wide selection of books covering every type of magic or superpower that you can think of that it's impossible not to get distracted once in a while.

Or Diluc can play the waiting game and spend at least a few hours remaining by the entrance to this dimension and catch Wanderer on his way out carrying a bag containing the books he decided to take with him until his next visit to the school. What will you do, Diluc?]

[ Looks like he has a 50-50 chance here, doesn't it? But, admittedly, Diluc is curious about this world's magic. And Familiars in particular, for no specific reason. Regardless of his status as a legend, this is fundamentally different from a world of visions and elements.

So, while he was trying to find Wanderer... there was another reason for investigating.

So, when he catches sight of Wanderer taking notes like any other student, his eyes flash purple as he approaches him. ]

You look quite engrossed.

[Wanderer's writing hand pauses as looks up from his notebook upon hearing the familiar voice, eyes narrowing in annoyance at the sight of the redhead approaching him.]

What do you want?

[ bluntly, his eyes shifting to a dark blue color. ]

There's something I'd like to show you.
Are you free tonight?

[sesto]

[Boy, he's feeling a strong sense of deja vu right now.]

I'll be free after 8pm. Am I meeting you at your place again?

Yeah. I'll be done with training and errands and I'll be there.
See you then.

Alright then. See you.

[And so he shows up at Aether's house not long after the designated time. Once he's let in, Wanderer nonchalantly steps inside and speaks as he takes his shoes off.]

So, what is it this time?

[descender]

[He's actually spent a few days thinking of how to talk to Wanderer after things transpired between them, and that's on top of just processing everything else. He feels he has a responsibility to himself on how to proceed forward.

It's Helios that alerts Aether that he's here. So he promptly opens the door, not even getting the chance to say anything before he comes in. He knows by now that question isn't rude. He does listen and care, if not, he wouldn't have shown up.]

You told me before you're not sure if you've ever seen a real star. [He goes to sit on the couch area, patting a spot next to him. Helios floats near Aether's head, watching their interactions with what seems like great interest.] Would you like to see one? Helios showed me a way.

["Huh... Paimon just noticed the rain has stopped."

Aether is staring out on the sunset, hearing Paimon make that comment as he noticed the rain too has stopped. He's staring out at the landscape of Fontaine, wondering where his sister's footsteps crossed in this region of Teyvat.

The next thing he knows, his eyes flutter open and see that it's clearly not Paimon sleeping next to him. The cat ears give it away, but even before then, the feeling of comfort and warmth tell him all that he needs to know. Immediately, he knows he's "back" in Folkmore. He knows it's been some time since he "returned" to Teyvat, and so it's a matter of time. His mind is still adjusting, but it doesn't feel as strange or unsettling as the previous times.

He doesn't want to wake Wanderer up, and he hopes he didn't have any previous jolts or sharp movements that would startle his sleeping partner. For now, he'll stare at Wanderer's face and keep cuddling him. To Aether, it feels like a mixture of not having seen him for months and at the same time at the most half a day. Either way, he misses him and wants to keep him close.]

[Wanderer remains sound asleep in Aether's arms as the other is waking up, gently holding him in his own as well as he slumbers peacefully. It isn't until another hour passes that his sixth sense starts to perceive the pair of eyes watching him and compels him to slowly blink his own eyes open, though he can only get them open halfway.

Eyes half-lidded and hazy with drowsiness, he gazes upon Aether's face and addresses him in a groggy voice.]

How long have you been awake?

[Between when Wanderer awakens and when he originally awoken, Aether slips between thinking and processing all the things that have occurred. It's a mixture of feeling like these memories all hit him at once. Yet it truly feels like he's experienced every moment. Ever since his last return, he's gotten more serious about trying to figure out if they truly 'return' to Teyvat or something else. It's especially been more important to figure this out since Wanderer confessed it's a concern of his.

Aether doesn't stir, and when he notices Wanderer awaken, he gives a gentle smile. His head isn't buzzing as much as before.]

Fully awake? Not that long. [He holds the other in his arm like it's been a while. To him, it feels like it's been months.] You're becoming a sleepyhead just like Paimon. [He places a soft kiss on Wanderer's forehead.]

[The discrepancy between their perceptions of how much time has passed hasn't clicked for Wanderer yet, nor the fact that the lock of hair that Aether had cut off suddenly grew back overnight. He isn't awake enough for that yet.

An endearing smile spreads across his face as his boyfriend kisses his forehead, replying in a light tone. His gaze is still entirely focused on Aether's face.]

It's your fault for being so warm and having such a comforting presence. I'm going to fall back asleep if you keep holding me like this.

[Not that he's let go of Aether yet, either.]

[The so called 'blame' for such a thing rolls off him, more amused than anything. Hey, if it's an excuse that he has to use, Aether doesn't mind.]

Fine, I'll take responsibility for my actions and stay as long as you want.

[It's not like he's showing signs of wanting to move. He knows Wanderer would probably last longer than him because eventually he'll get hungry for breakfast. Then the part of being torn if he should mention if he "returned" to Teyvat. He doesn't need to think about it that long, knowing what the other would prefer.]

... there is something I need to tell you. I returned to Teyvat and spent several months there, but by your reaction and my previous experiences, only a night or so passed here.
